Patricia L. Jones, CPA is the founding partner of the firm P.L.
Jones & Associates, P.C., CPAs. The firm is a full service
certified public accounting firm providing accounting, auditing and
taxation services. Organized in 1996, the firm has continued to
grow and currently has twelve employees that perform services from
offices in Worcester and Athol for clients throughout
Massachusetts.
Ms.
Jones received her Associate of Science from Quinsigamond Community
College, Worcester, Massachusetts, Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration from Suffolk University, Boston, Massachusetts, and a
Masters in Taxation from Bentley College, Waltham, Massachusetts.
She has more than thirty years of accounting, auditing and taxation
experience. She was formerly employed as the Tax Manager of a
mid-size local firm in Westborough, Massachusetts. For several
years prior, she was an Assistant Vice President and Trust Officer
of Mechanics Bank, Worcester, responsible for the accounting and
taxes for the Trust Tax Division.
Ms.
Jones is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public
Accountants (MSCPA) as well as a past Director of the MSCPA. She
has participated in various committees that further the profession.
Additionally, she is a Trustee for Bay State Savings Bank.
Ms.
Jones’ community involvement includes supporting the Women’s
Initiative of the United Way of Central Massachusetts. She is also
a member of the Finance and Investment Committees for the Diocese of
Worcester. Some of her past affiliations include Family Health
Center of Worcester, Inc. (Treasurer), Greater Worcester Community
Foundation (Corporator), Notre Dame Academy (Board), Leave a Legacy
(Board), Kiwanis Club and Kiwanis Foundation of Worcester, Inc.
(Chair or Treasurer and Member), Mohegan Council of Boy Scouts, Inc.
(Finance Vice President), Montachusett Girl Scout Council, Inc.
Planned Giving Committee (Member) and the Estate and Business
Planning Council of Worcester County (President & Member).
